Dear Friends
All of you have read about the U.S.,
seen American movies and used some English words in your everyday activities. However,
only the experience of living in America will give you the mastery of language and a more
complete understanding of this varied, large and influential country. While studying at
The Language Academy, you will discover the many facets of this multi-ethnic nation and
the excitement of American cities. The Language Academy will teach you the English you
need to do business with Americans.
The city of Fort Lauderdale itself is known
as a center for business and international trade and many Multinational Companies have
chosen this area for their headquarters. In fact the Executive Airport is the seventh
busiest airport in the U.S. In 1997, Time magazine recognized Fort Lauderdale as
one of America's top 15 "Hot Spots" for job growth. Fort Lauderdale is a fast
growing, vibrant city whose residents median age is 37 and where the average household
income is $48,000 per year, well above the national average. An important factor in the
city's economy is Port Everglades, the second largest passenger port in the world and port
of call for 25 prestigious cruise lines, including the Queen Mary, Carnival and Costa ships.
Shortly after arrival, each executive will meet with the Principal to discuss their special
requirements and we will
arrange, as part of the course, visits to major corporations and government offices.
Lectures & Conferences
Our Executive Programs will give you many chances to communicate with
native-speakers of English. As part of the full immersion training, The Language Academy
will provide you with the unique opportunity of meeting with influential businessmen,
local dignitaries and academics. These successful professionals will give lectures on
American culture and business topics and answer your questions. This will create a source
of stimulating discussion subjects for you and your teachers and will open a new horizon
in your understanding of American society and global trading.
